Gone are those days of writing a Post with just a good content. Now-a-days a good post seeks lots of techniques to find its way to top of organic search results (SERPs).

What it really takes to write an optimized post or an article on any subject that excel in terms of SERPs? The answer is simple : Original Content + Keyword Research and Stuffing.

Content is the King:

Content is the King of any Post. Without an Original, Compelling and Precise content that touches upon all essential elements of reader’s interest, no one can save it for you. So, always work on the Content.

How to do Keywords Research ?

There are certain excellent tools that make life a lot easier when it comes Keyword research. For example – Adwords, Moz, Alexa ..etc.

Let me start with a Free Keyword Research Tool. i.e, Google Adwords.

  • Search for Google Keyword Planner or Adwords Keyword Planner
  • Login with your Google Gmail Credentials.
  • Enter the keyowrd under “Search for New Keyword using a phrase, website or category”

  • Choose the Keyword Ideas tab.
  • There You Go.

Now, what you see here is a mammoth list of all related keyword combinations and so on. You could see columns like

  1. “Average Monthly Searches”
  2. “Competion”
  3. “Suggested Bid” .. etc

Now its all about your passion to pick up the relevant keywords of your need. The key is to choose “Low Competitive but High Bid” Keywords. Also, Please pick one are two keywords and focus a post on them. So that the Post’s keyword density would be good.

Types of Keywords:

Short Tail Keywords:

These are nothing but the simple keywords that you chose for writing a Post. You just need to scatter them along the Post without stopping or troubling the reader, wisely. Yes, do it wisely, otherwise, you would be punished for “keyword Over stuffing” with Negative Ranking. (discussed below).

Long Tail Keywords:

Many a times, People search with a question specifically, rather than a simple keyword. The so called search question or search string is called as Long Tail Keyword.

We can put it this way, Key word that is stuffed in a potentially searchable sentence is called Long Tail Keyword. These Long Tails have helped a lot in long term success of any website.

How to find Long Tail Keywords?

There is a simple way of doing this.

  • Open Google or bing or any other popular search engine home page.
  • Start typing your keyword.
  • Look at the suggestions by the search Engine.
  • All those suggestions are Long Tail Keywords which were potentially searched for.
  • There you go with your appropriate LTK.

Optimum Keyword Stuffing :

Stuffing keyword does not mean, using them twice or thrice in every line. This is called “over stuffing” which in turn reduce your rank on SERPs.

So What to do here? Stuff Keywords mindfully.

  • They should never block the flow of content.
  • Should not be felt by the reader as being repeated unnecessarily.

Read the Post at-least thrice with a gap of Half an Hour for every read. You will correct those issues by yourself. Yes, all by yourself. Believe me, This solution might sound too simple to skip, but this has helped me a lot to get rid of negative stuffing issues almost 100%.

Keyword Stuffing in Headings:

The overall structure of the post also matters in SERPs. Here the Structure means, Header and the Sub Headings of a Post. All these headings are vital places to have the keywords stuffed. Also you can look for opportunities to place some long tail keyword as a sub-header as well.

  • The Post title takes the “h1” tag.
  • Make sure all the essential sub headings are put on the “h2” tags.
  • You may consider using “h3” tags as well, if possible.

The Header :

You know what?, According to a survey, 80% of readers skip posts if they done see the Heading Catchy. So, that means, without a Magnetic, Compelling Heading in place, no one gonna even click your Post. You may have placed a ground breaking content inside, but the reality is – It just gets sink in the digital Ocean.

  • Short and Punchy
  • Meaningful, yet Magnetic
  • Compelling and Catchy

Keyword Stuffing in Images:

Images plays a vital role in any Post and the same time, they are the least concerned by the bloggers as well.

Do you know, Search Engines are crawling image tiles and their Alt Text as well for ranking. So, give a meaningful Image title and a Meaningful alt text for images with appropriate Keywords.

  • Add an Image for every 250 words.
  • Add appropriate title and Alt Tag information for the image with keywords stuffed.

Another crucial part of your Post is to link it with appropriate related posts in your own website – This is called “Internal Linking”.

Basically search engines love to run infinitely. They hate dead ends. So, if you link the posts internally, they gets a great feast of running towards all your related content which is really really a deciding part of your ranking.

In the same time, similar to Keyword stuffing, Internal Linking also to be done, wisely. Too many links spoils the game. Probably, in experience, 4 to 5 links do really well and self sufficient.
